While it doesn’t always make sense to recondition certain tap sizes, there are some cases where this can provide you huge tool cost savings.  Taps are very expensive and if done right can be reconditioned up to five or six times before it becomes too small or obsolete.  Reconditioning taps isn’t easy so this week Tom decided to briefly cover the primary do’s and don’ts of reconditioning taps.  Simple methods and techniques can make your $200 tap last 5-6 times longer than it should.
